Trailing stops and partial closes on the Axora platform

Two tools that let you lock in profit and reduce risk without closing your whole trade.

By the Axora Funded Research Team

Trailing stop

A trailing stop moves your stop loss automatically as price moves in your favour. On our platform you set it as a distance in price units. Once the trade is in profit by at least that distance, the stop follows the best price — it never moves back, and it never sits below break-even.

  • Open the Positions tab, click Edit on the trade and type a distance in the Trail column.
  • Example: EURUSD long, trailing distance 0.0020 (20 pips). When price is 20 pips above entry, the stop starts following 20 pips behind.

Partial close

Close part of a position to bank profit and keep a runner. Click Edit, enter the volume to close (half is pre-filled) and press Close part. The closed part appears in your history immediately and the remaining volume stays open with the same stop and target.
