Why faster is not better
The target is a percentage of the account, not a deadline. Traders who try to hit it in a few days usually raise their risk and hit the daily loss limit instead. At 0.5% to 1% risk per trade, a 10% target typically takes several weeks of normal trading.
- Minimum trading days count days with at least one trade, not calendar days.
- On programmes with a consistency rule, your best day may not exceed a set share of the total profit: spreading profit over several days is required anyway.
- If you want no deadline at all, choose a programme without a time limit.
A realistic timeline
Phase 1 of a 2-Step (10% target) at around 0.5% to 1% net per good day usually takes two to four weeks; phase 2 (5%) about half of that. A 1-Step has a single 10% target. Instant funding (Bolt) skips the evaluation completely.
