Profit split explained: 80% vs 90% and what you actually receive

How a profit split is calculated on a funded account, why the buffer and payout conditions matter as much as the percentage, and worked examples.

By the Axora Funded Research Team

The profit split is the share of the profit you keep when you request a payout. At Axora, the 2-Step, 1-Step and Futures programmes have up to a 90% split; Ascent, Spark, Pass and Bolt have an 80% split.

Worked example

A $100K funded 2-Step account grows to $106,000. A 3% buffer stays in the account, so the withdrawable profit is the balance above $103,000: $3,000. With a 90% split, you receive $2,700.

Conditions that come with the split

  • First payout 14 days after activation, then every 14 days.
  • 5 winning days of at least 0.5% of the initial balance in the cycle.
  • Best day no more than 40% of the cycle's profit.
  • After a payout, the maximum loss is locked at the initial balance.

80% vs 90%: which matters more?

The cheaper programmes have the 80% split. If a lower entry price or a different structure suits your trading better, 10 points of split may be worth it. What matters most is whether you can reach payouts consistently.
