Failed a challenge? What happens next and how to come back stronger

Failing is common and recoverable. What happens to the account, retry discounts, how to analyse what went wrong and when to start again.

By the Axora Funded Research Team

Most traders fail at least one challenge. It is part of the process, not the end of it. What matters is what you do in the next 48 hours.

What happens to the account

When a hard rule is breached (daily loss or maximum loss), the account is closed for trading and marked as failed. Your history stays visible in the dashboard so you can review every trade.

Retry discount

Failed or expired paid accounts usually receive a personal retry discount by email, valid for a limited time. It applies to a new challenge, so you can restart at a lower cost.

Analyse before you restart

  • Find the day the account failed. What was the first rule you broke that day?
  • Count how many trades in the challenge followed your plan.
  • Check your risk per trade: was it above 1%?
  • Was the failure a single bad day or a slow bleed?

Restart with one change

Do not change everything. Pick the single most important fix (for example, a two-loss daily stop or half the size) and apply it to the next attempt. One clear change is easier to keep than five.
