The 2-Step is the classic prop firm evaluation: two phases with profit targets, then a funded account with up to a 90% profit split. Prices go from $39 for $5K to $949 for $200K. Here is every rule and what it means in practice.
Phase 1 and phase 2
- Phase 1: 10% profit target, up to 30 calendar days, at least 5 trading days.
- Phase 2: 5% profit target, up to 60 calendar days, at least 5 trading days.
- Both phases: 4% daily loss, 8% maximum loss, consistency rule, positions closed before the weekend.
Daily loss: 4%
Measured from a reference taken at 00:00 UTC each day: the higher of balance or equity at that moment. Equity, including open trades, may not fall more than 4% of the initial balance below it. On a $100K account starting the day at $101,500, the floor is $97,500 for the day.
Maximum loss: 8% static
Equity may never fall below 92% of the initial balance. On $100K, the floor is $92,000 and does not move.
Consistency
To pass a phase, your best single day may not be more than 50% of the total profit. With a 10% target, no single day should bring more than about 5%.
Weekend and news
- Open positions are closed on Friday at 20:45 UTC; trading reopens Sunday at 22:00 UTC.
- On paid accounts, no new trades from 30 minutes before to 30 minutes after high-impact news; holding a position through the release is not allowed.
Funded stage
No profit target. 4% daily and 8% maximum loss remain. Payouts every 14 days (the first 14 days after activation) with 5 winning days of at least 0.5%, a best day no more than 40% of the cycle profit and a 3% buffer. Split up to 90%.
