Minimum trading days: what counts as a trading day and how to plan them

Why prop firms require a minimum number of trading days, what counts as one at Axora, and how to meet the requirement without forcing trades.

By the Axora Funded Research Team

Most evaluations require a minimum number of trading days before you can pass: 5 per phase on the 2-Step, 3 on the 1-Step, Ascent, Spark, Pass and Futures. The rule makes sure results come from a process, not from a single lucky session.

What counts as a trading day

A day on which you trade at least once counts as a trading day, using the UTC calendar day. Weekends and days without trades do not count, and do not hurt you either. To pass, the target must be reached on your balance with all positions closed.

Planning them

  • If you reach the target early, you still need the remaining days. Keep trading small until the minimum is met, or wait for normal setups.
  • Do not open tiny meaningless trades just to tick days: they still carry risk and costs.
  • Spread profit over several days anyway: the consistency rule rewards it.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to trade on consecutive days?

No. Any days on which you trade count toward the minimum.

What if I hit the target before the minimum days?

The phase is completed once the remaining minimum trading days are reached, the target is still met on your balance and all positions are closed.
