About NAS100
NAS100 follows the 100 largest non-financial companies on the Nasdaq, dominated by big tech. It is the most volatile of the US indices and a favourite for momentum traders.
Most of the range happens at the New York open; big-tech earnings, CPI and FOMC create the largest moves.
How to size a NAS100 position
Position size = risk in dollars ÷ (stop distance × value per unit). Example on a $100,000 account risking 1% ($1,000) with a $60 stop: 16.6 lots, which risks about $996.
The order panel has a built-in risk calculator: enter your % risk and your stop loss and it sizes the position for you.
Which challenge to trade NAS100?
2-Step challenge (10% + 5% targets, 4% daily and 8% maximum loss) or the faster 1-Step challenge (one 10% target).
