How the XRPUSD lot size is calculated
Position size = risk in dollars ÷ (stop distance × value per unit). On XRPUSD, one point ($1) is worth $100.00 per standard lot, so a $0.04 stop costs $4.00 per lot. $50 ÷ $4.00 = 12.5 lots (rounded down to the 0.01 step).
Spread add a little to the real cost of each trade, so many traders round down further. Calculated at the current XRPUSD price of 1.27045.
The $5K rules in XRPUSD price moves
Rules are set in dollars, but you watch the XRPUSD chart. This is how far price can move against a 12.5-lot position before each limit is reached:
- Classic: target $500 ($0.4) + $250 ($0.2), daily loss $200 ($0.16), max loss $400 ($0.32), all with 12.5 lots.
- At 1% risk per trade it takes 4 losing trades in a single day to hit the Classic daily limit.
- 1-Step: target $500 ($0.4), daily loss $150 ($0.12), max loss $300 trailing ($0.24), all with 12.5 lots.
- At 1% risk per trade it takes 3 losing trades in a single day to hit the 1-Step daily limit.
- Ascent: target $250 ($0.2) + $250 ($0.2) + $250 ($0.2), daily loss $150 ($0.12), max loss $300 ($0.24), all with 12.5 lots.
- At 1% risk per trade it takes 3 losing trades in a single day to hit the Ascent daily limit.
- Spark: target $400 ($0.32), daily loss $100 ($0.08), max loss $200 ($0.16), all with 12.5 lots.
- At 1% risk per trade it takes 2 losing trades in a single day to hit the Spark daily limit.
Maximum XRPUSD position size on $5K
With 1:5 leverage one lot needs about $25 of margin, so a $5K account could open about 196.78 lots in total. That is a margin ceiling, not a target: the daily loss limit is the real constraint.
When XRPUSD moves most
Reacts sharply to regulatory and partnership news, on top of general crypto sentiment. Size down around those moments: wider swings mean a wider stop, and a wider stop with the same risk means fewer lots.
